My Three Wishes

1. an UNDO button   :)))))))
    an UNDO button
    an UNDO button

How many times... I textured an entire group of prims unintentionally...

2. Agrees with Berry, I wish SL had a better reputation. There's so much good/great/AWESOME going on here. We need more positive PR. I am not shameful of my SL, but usually say something like, it's not what you've heard, and send one of the better youtubes. I was hoping that the Fantasy Faire would break out into mainstream media to showcase what this community does for Relay For Life. Oh, well...

This is one video that drew me in:

3. I wish I had time... time to learn mesh and create with the passion abandonment I learned to build with cubes. Time to be more social. Time to give more to the community.

In the meantime, dance me to the end of love :)

Why I Blog

I wanted to post a reply to Berry's meme challenge. But,  I wanted to find the first picture of myself, and it's taken me awhile. That was a couple computers ago, but good old Google never forgets! This is the earliest picture I can find. LOL look at that system hair! I think this is still on a help island. It looks like I found some freebies already. This may be from my 1st attempt at SL in 2005.

so here's a contrast:

Most recent.

The Meme:

1. How long have you been blogging? since April 2007. Specifically about SL, and Leondra's Blog; since June 2008.

2. Why did you start blogging? I want to keep a Web Log.. of what I find interesting, a sort of diary.

3. How many times a week do you post an entry? I average 1x a week, but have gone weeks without posting.

4. How many different blogs do you read on a regular basis? At least 50 or so on a regular basis, and that does not include the individual ones posted in the syndicated ones, which I count as one.

4. Do you comment on other people’s blogs? sometimes, but rarely. I have to have a strong opinion or need to comment.

5. Do you keep track of how many visitors you have? Nope, occasionally look, but I don't care. It is only recently that I have begun to realize others "read" me. I never think I have a readership, etc.

6. Did you ever regret a post that you wrote? Yes, and I have deleted it. Not that I said anything negative, but perhaps revealed more about myself than I really want.

7. Do you think your readers have a true sense of who you are based on your blog? Nope, only some of my interests.

8. Do you blog under your real name? No, I blog under my second life name. I have never blogged under my real name. Even in my other blogs, I have used pseudonyms.

9. Are there topics that you would never blog about? YES!!!! I avoid the SL drama like the plague.

10. What is the theme/topic of your blog? What I like!!!!!. I began to give credits to designers several years ago, because credit is due to those artists. When I post fashion stuff, it is about the creativity in the items. I never "review" things or would want to do that.

11. Do you have more than one blog? If so, why? This is my only SL blog. GAD! I can't keep up with this one, so no others. I have retired my others which are not about SL.

12. What have you found to be the benefits of blogging? It makes me aware each time I write that writing is a craft. Something that I will always "work" at to do.

13. So, why do you continue to blog? I enjoy the challenge of keeping up with current things. It keeps my journey in one place. When I get disillusioned about SL, I can see all the transformations, experiences, and creativity I have marked as important to me. I find comfort in that. I also keep some posts non-public to retain those memories.

It Really Is MORE than a Second Life Event; Fantasy Faire 2013

As Zander Green, one of the contributors of Fantasy Faire, so movingly tells us, "When you come into this world and realize that how you present yourself is entirely in your hands – you’re presenting the best idea of yourself - there is a liberation that occurs there."  It is so much of what I believe is the reason we love and become addicted to SL. We create our ideas, our idealized representations of our imagination and dreams.  He adds, that "I'm waiting for mainstream media to realize that Relay for Life in Second Life is the greatest human interest story. If you are looking for that warm and fuzzy kicker at the end of an hour of bad news...come on..." I totally agree the mainstream media needs to take a look at what SL can really be about; people from all over the world collaborating, creating, and organizing together for a good cause. (and having fun !)

I can't wait to explore these sims. Perhaps this is what SL needs, absolutely the best representation of the virtual world we love, we created. I am awed by the artistry that awaits.

I'm just the same as I was. Now don't you understand? That I'm EVER changing who I am :)

LOL, some word play.        ..... hair playing, now.

We have a core sense of self... our values, beliefs and how we intend to interact with others that should be our foundation, it is our compass which steers our lives.  But there is a part of our "selves" that should evolve... like the spirit of karma, forever becoming; until we reach that bliss.

In an effort to find hair bliss, I have been experimenting. Here's another modded mesh hair with flexi pieces. This one from Exile :)) with added orchids as a barrette.

I'm Not Here

Spring in my mountain meadow, time to enjoy the flowers, birds, and other sounds of nature. Yesterday, I did some old-fashioned sim hopping. While looking for a place to listen to music, I stumbled upon Ionic; not only do they have cool Indy music to shop by, they have cool Indy merchandise;) I just had to pick up this mesh T-Shirt from one of my favorite bands, Radiohead.

I must caution you when you look at the credits to other things I am wearing, because I mod whatever I can. I am a fan of mesh hair because it stays, and doesn't jab your body like a knife when dancing or moving around, but it lacks movement itself. Some designer have flexi pieces that you can add on. This hair is from Truth, with flexi  pieces from other Truth hair that I modded in from a copy version. And look! it flounces around while I'm in my swing.

mesh indy t-shirt - Ionic-  Radiohead
mesh jeans - Cake - skinny jeans faded cuffed
hair: Truth - Brianna with roots (additional modded flexi pieces from other Truth hair)
skin: Curio - Gala Skins - Sundust dark, Summer Lake frex (still absolutely my favorite skin) additional freckles and eyebrow shape from Glam Affair - Amberly, lip gloss from Pink Acid - Diva - beige.
belt - CoCo - Wrap Skinny Belt - retextured to grey leather and steel studs
shoes: Maitreya Gold - Shiki - in nude with lots of platform textures to choose
eye lashes - old group gift from Maitreya
swing - Janine Swing from  Cheeky Pea which has a texture change throw
