From Strawberry's blog.
I added to Strawberry's Flickr Group. This whole thing is rather hilarious, especially as I have been finding my favorite place to chat with friends in SL is to sit around the table at my dock. The pose of choice is the tablet reading one for everyone that sits with me. I often shake my head at restaurants when I see people spending their entire time paging through their devices. But for SL is seems the appropriate animation...LOL.
This picture poses a very philosophical question. What does that say about our virtual lives?

Strawberry's Google Meme
I've been very busy in RL and in SL with two builds for the the Burn2 coming October 19th. But was curious what Google said about me. So here are my findings in response to Strawberry's post.
- Google your Second Life name in “quotations” and share your results. about 1840
- What is the first link that comes up? my Youtube account
- Which link were you surprised to see? Houz???? Quora??? They were on the 1st page. I am clueless why. A few pages later, I saw a SL group I used to participate in...and it has all the group meeting chat logs in public! THAT WAS a surprise.
- Click on the “Image” tab and tell us where the first 5 pictures listed are from. 1st - my Google profile pix, 2nd - from a friend's Flicker photo stream, 3rd - my SL profile pix, 4th - another friend's Flicker photo stream, and 5th - MOST surprising because I have never seen any fashion bloggers do a post to include my jewelry I have on the market place:))
- Click on the “more” tab and then click “news” and share your results. No results found for “Leondra Larsson”
Yes, I have dragged flat Rodvick into one of my builds for the Burn2!

Monday's Meme - The State of My Inventory
Another Monday Meme from Strawberry Singh. This subject is the one I usually "mentor" new people about who come into SL. It is very easy to lose or forget things. I don't want to get rid of things, you especially may have a need for a 32 prim cow or a 6 prim fork, both of which I have retrieved and used in the past week from my inventory. I try to be organized, making outfits and dating them, putting in photos when possible, making folders, using texture organizers, etc. Experience though, teaches many of us that have been around awhile, that having multiple copies gives a sense of security. I also find that I use my blog to look for things that have failed to appear in my inventory searches because of the poor label I used.
Well here is the meme:
1. What is your current inventory number? –85,585 (but haven't emptied my trash in a while. I have to go through it before I will do it)
2. If you had to delete your whole inventory and could only keep one thing, what would it be? I love my objects, assuming I could keep what my avatar was wearing, it would be my house I built, although it's too many prims for one object, it's still one "thing".
3. What is the last thing you purchased? – Aushka&Co Play Node Top Mesh (knotted tank top with color change hud)
4. Which item do you wear most often? – Maitreya Mesh Eyelashes (former group gift) they fit perfectly (after adjusting)
5. When you search for the word penis, how many items pop up? 6!!! (3 are gestures) includes a "Penis Brain" that I had no idea I had.

LOVE THIS MEME, from Strawberry... "Flat Rodvic Linden"
This meme is from Strawberry Singh, and I have been giggling since I first read the challenge. I loved the Flat Stanley Projects, in fact had students take part in creating them several years ago. And what a way to send a message to Rod! I can't wait to see some of the responses. This will be
First I took Rod to my usual favorite club in SL, Alt7. I've been going here for over 6 years. The club is undergoing some transformations; some of the long standing DJs are taking sabbaticals and the decor is trying to have an over haul. I hope that things get more on track. Currently it is a mish-mash of several people's furniture and textures that blur, the lighting all wrong, BUT the music and friendly banter are still there. It is being worked on, so if you visit, we are all holding out hope for some refinement.
The next place I wanted to take Rod was my home, a Homestead Sim I have had for over 4 years. As a homestead I am at the mercy of the owner of the full sim to which this is a part. I am now under a second owner of the group of sims. I love my home and although many people think I am silly for this expensive hobby (95 US dollars a month), for the amount of time I spend making things and learning it is far cheaper than playing golf, collecting some things, etc. I have no commercial aspirations in SL. So my message to Rodvic would be to allow individual ownership of Homesteads and not have to have them attached to a full sim or their owner.
He matches my sinks, although I don't think I want him here.
Taking some mirror shots... why won't they smile?

So.. I could stand "Flat Rod" somewhere, let him get to know and like my place... let's see here..

Leo's Digits - June 2013
Strawberry Singh posted another blogger challenge. It started with Berry thinking her arms were proportionately too short... Tyrannosaurus Rex Syndrome she called it. So, I had to do a comparison, especially because I never did a check looking for changes with mesh clothing. I know I have changed many parts of me due to mesh.
This is a "Medium" womens with my above current measurements.
Looks OK from the front, and fits over the hips of the mesh shorts. When I wore this, I had to reduce my torso muscles. I find that I save body shapes with outfits, but that can drive one crazy. I often have to add more "love handles" to fill in pants and skirts, etc. Usually I wear a small or extra-small, and here is a medium. If only RL offered the alter your shape option :)
Proportions Challenge Questions:
Do you try and keep your avatar’s body proportionate and similar to the “average” proportions pictured above? – No, haven't thought of it, I go by "eye".
What do you dislike the most about the SL avatar mesh? – Avatar mesh? like parts? I only use feet. Matching skin tones, especially when changing windlight settings, is the most difficult.
Does it bother you when you see other avatars that are not proportionate at all? –It doesn't "bother" me, but looking good is part of "the literacy". I don't get bothered by people's ignorance. I REALLY appreciate that people have tried to make their own shapes and not buy somebody elses', freebie or spent Ls on it. It is an expression of whom we want to be.
BUT there are occassions when I want to ask someone if they remembered to wear the alpha layer... LOL.
Even though this is a virtual world and people can be anything they want to be, do you feel when they are in human form, they should try to keep their proportions close to average? -No, we can be whomever we want to be. If others do not have a sense of beauty or art, that's OK. I know many people in RL that are disproportionate, it doesn't bother me. I must say though, the huge prim boobs, teeny waists, and wide, long hips are comical... but that may be the point.
This is my ava, as I currently walk around most of the time.
This is the pic from the post in 2011.
I know I made trade offs with body fat vs. torso muscles and thickness. Most surprising is the torso length shrinking, AND the leg length increasing.
And, Berry, the arm length has not changed! I know there are all these references out there for proportions, from the SL stuff to Michelangelo's studies. I work at a high school, and part of the dress code rule is that skirts and shorts must be no shorter than at the fingertips when standing straight, which is usually a tad above most girl's mid-thighs. :)
The reason I change my body and keep tweaking it are illustrated below.

Haiku My SL
When I left my other blogs before joining SL almost six years ago, I once lamented, "I have no time for all this digital verbose dialog, I will learn the Haiku of email and other concise, exact responses."
and then... SL happened, demanding time to learn new skills.
So full circle :)
My SL Haiku:
With colors I dream
Time spews beautiful fractals
More complicated.

Still Not Enmeshed in Mesh - the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
The Good
I just cannot get on this mesh bandwagon with any measure of enthusiasm. Sure, it makes great pictures, and has great textures. I LOVE several of the mesh boots that I own, the textures are gorgeous! The fashion bloggers have got an addiction for it. Lately it seems one might as well show up in prim heels with bling as to wear no mesh to any event with a crowd of SL literate avatars. This is the BEST mesh dress I have tried on with an avatar that is not a wiry coat hanger. It's the 50 Linden Friday offer from Tee*Fly. I'm wearing a size medium.
Yes it does appear to flow over my body :)
The Bad
I've had to drastically alter my body. I have become almost anorexic looking. Strawberry Singh has started another "post your digits" discussion on her blog. She says, "I am just looking to get into a discussion about mesh and how it has affected our behavior towards our avatar’s shape."

| Need to eat! |
I'm going to try some of Strawberry's body sliders, as mine are far more on the skinny side in order to fit into this mesh dress. The few other mesh clothes I own, still do not work with this body, I have to get as thin as possible in some areas, even to wear a medium. I am still very attached to my Phoenix viewer which does not allow more than 1 alpha layer. On the Phoenix "issues" wiki, this is a low priority item. Wearing the alpha mask has issues in itself, if you peek over into a top wearing an alpha top, you're the invisible woman.
Well, here are my digits in this outfit:
height - 60
body thickness - 6
Body fat - 7
Torso muscle - 44
Shoulders - 50
Breast - 53
Love handles - 25
Belly - 0
Leg muscles - 35
Hips - 52
Butt size - 37
Saddle bags - 22
My previous digits are posted here.
The Ugly
In the pictures below, there are still gaps when movement occurs. Sigh.... still scary to wear out dancing.

Hopefully, fixes for my issues will occur in the near future and I will be a happy shopper once again.
